The PCR Board approved the policy (during the 5th regular board meeting on Dec 15, 2008) that subspecialties should not grant fellow status to the diplomate in training unless he becomes a fellow of the PCR first. This is for comment during the business meeting at the Annual Convention.
How to be a fellow of the PCR 1. Submit application letter to the PCR addressed to membership committee chairman 2. recommendation letter from 2 fellows of good standing 3. photocopy of PBR certificate 4. PMA certificate 5. Resume with recent picture (size same as US visa) 6. PCR dues should be up to date 7. 50-POINT SYSTEM OR 10 years of service to PCR: should have a total of 50 points aside from those mentioned above a. going into subspecialty training and passing the subspecialty boards: 25 pts b. 5 points for every year of service as member in any of PCR’s standing committees c. Published paper 1. international: 25 points 2. local: 10 points Requirements to be of good standing 1. paid all dues 2. 50% from attendance to complete a total of 50 points a. Annual convention 40 points b. Chapter conventions 15 points c. Subspecialty convention 15 points d. CME scientific mtgs (including subspecialties & chapters) 10 points e. Post-graduate courses accredited by PCR 5 points 3. service to the society means a. giving lectures for 5 straight years in PCR-sanctioned activities b. serve in any of PCR’s standing committees for 5 years |
