January 11, 2010 Dear Doctors: The 2010 PCR annual convention is fast approaching and as we announced before, we are privileged to have the RSNA International Visiting Program for this year. Our lecturers are Drs Marilyn Siegel (Pediatric Radiologist), Thomas Pope, Jr. (Musculoskeletal Radiologist), and Alexander Norbash (Interventional Radiologist). Aside from the lectures they will share with us from February 18 to 20, they will be conducting workshops during the time that they are here.
The PCR Board decided to require all residents, fellows in training, and those applying for FPCR status to attend and participate in the workshops. To facilitate groupings, we took the liberty to divide the participants to ensure good attendance to the workshops. Of course, other members of the PCR and the staff in your department are most welcome to attend any of the workshop schedules. Please pre-register on or before January 29. We have to know and finalize what to prepare. 1. Those applying for FPCR status and all fellows in training should join the Feb 16 or 17 workshop 2. Residents a. All chief residents and residents having their training outside Luzon should join Cebu workshop (February 23) or convention workshop (Feb 18-20 7:30 to 9:30AM). The convention workshop will prioritize attendees from Southern Mindanao chapter. b. Residents from Manila and Southern Luzon training centers should join either Feb 16 or 17 workshop c. All residents having their training in Central & Northern Luzon should join the February 16 or 17 or convention workshops 3. ALL chief residents from Luzon training centers should join the Fontana workshop on February 25 4. Please take note that PCR will check certificates of attendance to the RSNA workshop before a candidate for FPCR status is allowed to have his oath-taking. The certificates of attendance for residents will be checked for their RTC clearance.
